Brief history

Cashmere was developed at Washington State University from a cross between Cascade and Northern Brewer and released in 2013. It was selected as a public aroma variety with a distinctive modern profile.

General description

Soft and expressive, with citrus, strawberry and melon notes accompanied by a gentle spicy character.

Brewing use

Well suited to late hopping and dry hopping in pale ales, IPAs, wheat beers and other styles where a smooth fruit-led aroma is wanted.
