Brief history
Nugget was developed by the USDA from a cross made in Oregon in 1970 and became commercially established during the 1980s. Its breeding background is strongly influenced by Brewer's Gold.
General description
A robust profile with herbal and spicy notes, resinous character and lighter floral and fruity elements.
Brewing use
Widely used for efficient bittering, with later additions also suitable for ales and darker styles where a traditional herbal-resinous character is useful.
