Brief history
Hallertauer Magnum was developed at the Hop Research Center Hüll from Galena and Hüll breeding material. The cross was made in 1984 and the variety was released in 1992.
General description
Known primarily for a clean and harmonious bitterness, with a subtle aroma showing floral, fruity and spicy notes.
Brewing use
Widely used as an efficient bittering hop across many beer styles, particularly when clean bitterness is required without a strong aromatic contribution.
