Brief history
Zeus was developed through a private US breeding program as a high-alpha variety and is closely associated with Columbus and Tomahawk. The three are commonly grouped under the name CTZ.
General description
Powerful and pungent, with resinous and spicy character, citrus notes and a firm herbal edge.
Brewing use
Highly effective for bittering and also useful in late hopping and dry hopping for IPAs, pale ales and other strongly hopped beers.
